Meet Orlee

Orlee R. Turitz, PCC, CYPFC, is the Founder and Principal Advisor of Orlee Golden, an advisory practice that helps mission-driven organizations create greater leverage through strategy, leadership, philanthropy, governance, and the thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence.

For more than two decades, Orlee has partnered with nonprofit executives, foundations, boards, philanthropists, and leadership teams to navigate complexity, sharpen priorities, and build organizations with the capacity to create greater and more lasting impact. She is known for helping leaders step back from competing demands, ask the questions that matter most, and focus on the decisions that move their mission forward.

Her work spans strategic planning, executive coaching, board governance, organizational development, leadership retreats, stakeholder engagement, and organizational transformation. Increasingly, she works with organizations to explore how AI can become a strategic partner—not simply to improve efficiency, but to expand organizational capacity, deepen relationships, improve decision-making, and magnify mission impact.

At the heart of Orlee's work is a simple belief: every organization already possesses extraordinary assets. The greatest opportunity lies in aligning those assets—people, purpose, relationships, resources, and technology—to create greater leverage for the mission.

In addition to founding Orlee Golden, Orlee served as Chief of Staff at Momentum Unlimited, an international nonprofit organization, where she helped guide a period of significant organizational growth, expanded programming, strengthened operations, doubled revenue, and helped shape the organization's next strategic chapter. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles spanning organizational strategy, operations, human resources, marketing, education, programming, finance, and organizational systems, giving her an uncommon ability to connect strategic vision with practical execution.

Clients often say that Orlee's greatest strength isn't having the answers—it's asking the questions that unlock them. Her curiosity, strategic perspective, and ability to help diverse groups find common ground have made her a trusted advisor to executives, boards, leadership teams, and philanthropists navigating important decisions and organizational change.

A Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation, Orlee earned her executive coaching certification from Georgetown University's Executive Leadership Coaching Program. She is also certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Leadership Circle Profile 360.

Orlee is a magna cum laude graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband. Together they are the proud parents of four grown children—and her favorite title these days is "Nana."
